The Final Conference for the presentation of the final results and achievements of the LIFE RE-WEEE project was successfully held on 9 and 12 November 2020, organized by RREUSE as webinar. The Conference was conducted in 3 sessions:
• Session 1 - Developing a WEEE prevention, repair and re-use culture in Europe.
• Session 2 – The development of standards and technical requirements for WEEE preparing for re-use activities.
• Session 3 – WEEE prevention and preparing for re-use in the EU.
The Conference had 69 participants by 12 EU member states, covering a wide range of stakeholders. The participants, as well as the speakers, were representatives of the European Commission, local authorities, NGOs, Universities, Producer Responsibility Organisations, research institutes, auditors, EEE manufacturers and stakeholders by the whole stages of WEEE management chain. Following the presentations, debate among the stakeholders took place on the future of WEEE prevention and preparing for re-use in the EU, the project sustainability and the After Life actions.
