Since 1990, ECOREC has been pushing forward the prevention, reuse, recycling and sustainable management of waste, natural resources and sustainable development at local, national, European and international levels, by implementing actions and programs to prevent, reduce, recover & recycle waste and to inform and raise awareness among citizens. ECOREC has always been part of consultations for national and European legislation.

ECOREC's objectives are:

  1. to prevent and manage waste in an environment-friendly manner;
  2. to foster the sustainable management of natural resources and energy;
  3. to organize and support programs on prevention, reduction, recovery and recycling;
  4. to inform and raise awareness among citizens;
  5. to promote sustainable production and consumption;
  6. to offer development assistance for the sustainable management of waste and natural resources.
